    Bio

The majority of my stories involve slash (male/male relations), gender relations (including intersex characters, asexuality, gender-neutral characters), and sexuality issues. If the idea of any of those disturb you, turn back now. Likewise, if you prefer the above in plotless sex stories, look elsewhere. I study these issues seriously and wish to portray them, and the characters dealing with them, in as thorough a manner possible; while there are romantic and often sexual relationships in said stories, there will be plot to complement them.

I am Christian, in what I suppose falls under the "moderate-liberal Protestantism" category (if my obsession with writing gay characters hadn't tipped you off on the 'liberal' half); my characters range from atheist, to agnostic, to various denominations/religions within the Judeo-Christian umbrella (Anglican, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Jewish), to polytheist. While certain characters might have a dim or cynical view of religion, the vast majority do not. I attempt to present the possibility of viewing religion (particularly different facets of Christianity) in a favourable light, as very rarely do positive outlooks on Christianity and alternative sexuality meet in fiction. This is not to say that my stories attempt to convert anyone any more than gay stories are part of some mysterious and subversive "gay agenda".
Gay-bashing and religion-bashing, in any form, are not welcome. I am willing to facilitate and engage in open, mature, and constructive discussion on either issue; flaming or blanket statements of any sort, however, I will not tolerate. This is, after all, primarily a fic journal, not a forum. Please try your best to keep debates, if they arise, in relation to the story on which you're commenting. If you can't handle characters (and an author) for whom faith and homosexuality do not conflict, then feel free to visit a site where all religious characters are always gay-bashing, unsupportive, and overall just close-minded and stereotypical fundamentalists and you don't have to change your world-view. *salutes*
I am working on a number of collaborations, fan and original, with [info]altis (here; also check out our collab LJ, [info]torturedsoul), [info]fleeftastic (here), and [info]piigverse (here). The level of collaboration varies: individually-written stories in a shared universe, co-authored stories in shared or individual (loaned) universes, and tag-team fanfiction in others' universes. [info]altis and I, and [info]piigverse and I hope to get our respective collaborations published someday. [info]fleeftastic and I just like to have fun at the moment.
The aforementioned [info]altis, [info]fleeftastic, and [info]piigverse, affectionately known as my Fangirl Feedback Loop. I rely on these three for all my creative needs, be they for reading amazing stuff, or helping me edit my own. These authors are all fantastic and deserve a read of their own; I insist. Check their livejournals or the "Other People's Fic" categories in my memories to find links to their works. (See also their fictionpress accounts for stories that aren't posted on LJ.)

I also recommend [info]azelmaroark, [info]calathea, and [info]shoebox_project, for a diverse variety of excellent writing (original, Gordon Korman fanfiction, and Marauder-era Harry Potter that far outshines the canon, respectively). In any case, make sure to check out all "Other People's Fic" sections of my memories, as well as the categories by fandom, for my favourite livejournal-centred fiction, original or otherwise.
For a rundown of each original or original collaborative universe I write, please see the universe primers tag. Each entry gives a summary and chronological (if applicable) list of all stories and/or chapters found within said universe. This is a good place to start if you're new to the journal and don't know where to start reading.

For various reasons, I have decided to lock down all original or original-collaborative works on this journal. If you would like to read them, check the information on friending and filters here, then comment with an active livejournal and I'll add you to the list(s). In-progress collaborations are viewable only to me and to my collaborator; most everything else can be found on the available-to-the-public filters. Stories are (obsessive-compulsively) organized by tags and memories.

If you're here because of the Through Hell series (originally posted at my FictionPress account), see the Through Hell Timeline, which gives a list of, and links to, all the fic in and/or related to the series in chronological order.
